Don't Know if Everyone Believes in Signs from the Universe,

but I think I may have just gotten one. Just saw a random Charlie Brown and Snoopy meme that said: "Stop being afraid of what could go wrong, and start getting excited about what could go right."

I played golf into my mid twenties. I hit a hole in one with a foursome I'd never played with...one guy would not stop talking and thought he was a golf pro...by the 9th hole I was fed up. as I approached the tee and he began to talk, I said, "please, just one hole, be quiet!"

A 4 iron, 170yds, in the cup. Spalding number 1 ball. Spalding at the time would send you a display holder trophy if the club was in that program.

The talking dude was a club member (i was just a kid, 22) and made sure I got all the perks and the hole in one was registered with the club. Probably still on the wall...

I never played another round. lol.

and walked me out and told me to try to at least hit the barn the target was attached to. He handed me his Glock. He took the first shot to show me how to do it. I put 6 in the middle. Not the exact center, but close enough that it scared me and him.

I have no idea of what I was in my past life, nor do I want to know.

The high-school I went to didn't have a golf course, but the local V.A. Hospital let the school district use theirs. Our gym teacher decided she was going to try to teach us. No hole in one for me but I did make a divet. 🙈 Only sport I was even semi good at was tennis. The college PE instructor told me I had a good enough, serve forehand, and drop shot to turn pro

The problem was for some reason I would always swing over or under the ball on my backhand. Rarely ever managed to make contact with the ball. Oh well at least I was killer at table tennis thanks to one of my cousins. 😆

In 2008, on Election Day a bald eagle flew overhead as I was driving down a main thoroghfare in Minneapolis. That night Obama won. Then last night, I was driving around one of the city lakes and a bald eagle flew about 10 feet over my car. I'm taking that as a good omen!

I read this thread earlier but wasn't in a position to post. I love this omen because it's like democracy is going in for the kill. That's what we need to do with these MAGA idiots. Stomp them into the ground so hard they'll never get back up.

Really, I would rather gently persuade them to our side but I'm not sure that would ever be possible. I'm willing to give it a try.

last night on The Last Word. If anyone had the desire to feel despair, it was Mandela who was imprisoned for 24 years. But Lawrence pointed out that every night Mandela went to sleep with OPTIMISM for what might happen the next day.

in the heart of Pittsburgh's South Hills. And BTW, a fierce battleground too.

I have not seen him for a few years. He just seemed to appear out of the brush, gazed at me a few seconds and turned and trotted away.

I felt the Spirit of Gaia speaking to me. I have been feeling the joy all day long.

take as signs. However, I do find myself worrying about the bad ones. So, I try to give.myself permission to be cautiously optimistic about the good ones.

Yesterday, I finally got it together to deposit my ballot I"d filled out over a week ago. As I walked out to my car to drive the ten minutes to the closest dropbox, a car was stopped near my driveway and someone had got out & was walking toward me.

Hardly anyone ever comes down into the woods at the end of our road. Unlike me, you may have guessed that the car was carrying canvassers.

When I figured that out I said, "OMG, I am just coming out to drive up town to deposit my ballot for Kamala!" In hindsight, not the most amazing coincidence in the world, but it felt positive!

There were three or four of them doing our small street. At least one of them down from NYC. I said I was a little depressed that the only sign on our street was for the other guy, and that we didn't really know our neighbors, but suspect they're all Trumpers.

She said that actually, from where we were standing, we could see the houses of a few of my neighbors who were for Kamala! I was very happy to hear that!

I thanked them profusely & invited them to come knock on my door if they needed a bathroom break or coffee. They didn't come by--probably too busy knocking on the doors they hadn't got to yet!
