Report From A Pittsburgh Suburb

It is Allegheny county but in Hampton township. Daughter has been standing in line for 20 minutes, getting closer to the door. Man close to her carrying a sign, Hope Not Hate.

Let's do this.

Took her 50 minutes to vote.

The poll worker who checked her in said turnout was 3 times what it was in 2020.

When I worked the polls, for high interest elections, I noticed voters were coming early through mid morning, then some at lunch, but there was little to no after work, evening rush.

And Pittsburgh welcomed Roberto Clemente as one of its own.

Since I was a kid, I loved your town.

Among many others.

I miss Pittsburgh - except in the cold weather.

... ie, you do not have to provide a "reason" for wanting a mail-in ballot rather than waiting to vote on Election Day.

Of course, the troublemakers are doing all they can to put impediments in the way, but I experienced no problems.
