The poll worker who checked her in said turnout was 3 times what it was in 2020.

(16,347 posts)When I worked the polls, for high interest elections, I noticed voters were coming early through mid morning, then some at lunch, but there was little to no after work, evening rush.

(17,786 posts)... ie, you do not have to provide a "reason" for wanting a mail-in ballot rather than waiting to vote on Election Day.
Of course, the troublemakers are doing all they can to put impediments in the way, but I experienced no problems.
