(8,043 posts)Im a skeptic- lived here for most of my years and will believe it when I see it.
We are voting in a totally corrupted gerrymandered State that I dont know how its possible to win with at least 5% margin. We shall see. Not to be a Debby downer but Allred is so close but not over by even 2%.
Hoping Women will show up and vote to be an Equal Citizen in Every State.

(1,220 posts)As Rep. Allred said to Senator Cruz, you need to lose your job!
If Senator Cruz does not, it will be clear to everybody that there is nothing a Republican can do that is so bad the people of Texas will care. I so hope that is not the lesson the gop learns in Texas in this election!!
The Texas GOP truly needs to joust with humility. The Texas GOP is actually killing women now (!!!!)! and blaming ob/gyns while they are doing it. I do so hope the eyes of Texas are upon this and that they are going to send some of these nihilistic fools packing.

(28,834 posts)Here in Texas, polls have a hard time dealing with our weird, inconsistent turnout issues, and late voters usually break right.
Obviously, it would be great to break that pattern this cycle, but I think it's a little too early to celebrate quite yet. We're definitely trying to make it happen.

(7,876 posts)I'd love for it to be true, but ...i cant trust my good friends down in Texas.

(34,519 posts)People HATE cruz, so it's not surprising.
That said, it kind of seems like Allred was left to fend for himself without a lot of support from the party.
I have never done that before, but this time
felt different.

I'd lo-o-ove to see Ted Cruz lose, and I think it's possible he's in trouble. The polls kept saying Cruz is unbeatable, but I never believed them. (It's just a psychic feeling, I don't know.) Colin Allred would be a wonderful NEW Senator from Texas.
We've known all along that Chump is going to lose this. Even his own party doesn't want him back in the White House.

(17,201 posts)I would love to see nothing more than to finally see Cancun Cruz without a job. Especially, since he isnt a real Texan. Hes a migrant from Canada. Hey I thought Canadians were supposed to be nice. I guess thats why his Cuban daddy decided to move south. Too bad they didnt return to Cuba, Ted wouldve felt much better there.

He also lies very well.
My understanding is that Cruz was not even from Texas originally.
