Yesterday was my 72nd birthday and American assholes have given me my present.

Buckle up. Gonna be a rough ride for the next few years. My fellow men have let me down big time.

I assume trump will be dead in 2 years and we'll get JD. Repubs will expand the Supreme Court and appoint a couple/few more Heritage assholes so we'll never get it back to some semblance of normal.

I'm in my twilight years, watching my country drift into darkness.

Today is my grandmother's 135th birthday. My granddaughter just got relegated to semi-permanent second class status. My friends of many stripes - immigrants, Black people, women, LGBTQ, more than half of the population actually - have been dealt a huge blow.

Somehow we need to stay in touch with each other and be continually reminded that we are not alone and we are not wrong. Though I suppose I will have to admit that I have been wrong all along, when I refused to believe that the majority of the American people would not do what they apparently just did.

14. Exactly how I'm feeling

I'm in the last part of my life. Hopefully 10 more years, but can't believe I'll live them under Trump and perhaps Vance.

Was so hopeful for Harris, 1st woman president, smart, empathetic, courageous and a good sense of humor. Now I probably won't ever see one.

I feel like I'm living a nightmare. I fear for the generations behind me. Not only my family but all the younger people. Will they see the freedoms we had? Or will we become authoritarian dictatorship like Russia. So sad today.
