She and her husband were going out to walk their dogs. They find that therapeutic. They have two labs who are very active and attentive to their humans. I think dog walking will help them get through the day...

I was surprised on a vendor call today. Two white guys, probably in their 30s, I don't know personally. One I met once on Zoom months ago and the other I have never met before. Typical opening greeting, "How are you today?"
I had to swallow hard and pause because I was afraid I was going to tear up. I managed to squeak out "Hanging in there."
I could see it in their faces. They both knew exactly what I was feeling AND sympathized. One muttered, "yeah, I think that's all we can do today." The other nodded somberly in agreement.
Two random strangers got it.
