(52,708 posts)and then he would have to run again in 2028. If it were me unless I was convinced that I could win and no one else could win I wouldn't do it. He isn't a young man.

(1,440 posts)Crypto fans are celebrating the results of the Ohio Senate race, where blockchain entrepreneur Bernie Moreno has defeated Senate Banking Chair Sherrod Brown, a three-term incumbent, in a contest that was key in the battle for control of the U.S. Senate.
Some $40 million of crypto money was directed at defeating Brown, with one PAC paying for five ads designed to boost awareness of Moreno, a businessman who worked as a luxury car dealer and had virtually no name recognition going into the contest.

(8,337 posts)At first I thought it was a picture of Sen. Brown and seven children. Then I wondered what Connie Schultz looks like, and looked her up. Now I think it's either a picture of Sen. Brown, and Ms. Schultz with six children, or grandchildren?
And they all look from happy to hilarious.

(271 posts)I graduated from Western College in Oxford, Ohio, and lived and taught in Ohio in the 60's and early 70's, so I have a special place in my heart for the state. Sherrod has been an all-time favorite senator of mine. He will be greatly missed.
