I think he stole it.

I have no proof and it sounds like sour grapes. But I was thinking about how people say everything he accuses others of is a tell for his behavior. What has his biggest refrain been since he appeared on the scene? The election was rigged. It seems unlikely because every other time he tries to pull a fast one he gets caught. Somehow they pulled this one off. I don't know how but I'm convinced he stole this election. The stakes were too big for him to lose. He's not going to jail and the only reason to run for office was to kill the DOJ stuff and he's off the hook. He's talks way more than he acts and I'm not saying he's not done some bad shit and no doubt will again but he thinks he's a King and he can order people around. He's in for a surprise. We (the collective group of Dems, Socialists, Lefty's, Progressives et al) must do all we can to make sure all D's in government stand fast against the uber conservative wall of bullshit headed our way............

if she did suspect something nefarious went on. She's a prosecutor and knows when to talk. She talks when she has proof. Plus, she's probably trying to settle things down. She doesn't want him unhinged and taking it out on us--because he would.

While I agree with you, I am trying to believe it was fair and we're just devastated. But, it's really more than that. Even with no substantial proof, but our gut feeling and alot of strange vote counting, something just feels off. I said in 2016 when my daughter and I were watching the returns then. Russia was helping him and later we found out they were. This feels like 2016, only much more sophisticated. I'm not gonna say anymore about it, especially not anywhere else. I've been saying it for months. Trump is the figure head but we can all see he has deteriorated badly. J D Vance helped put Project 2025 together and he will take over not long after the vote is ratified and Trump is installed in the White House.

I believe that "great evil stalks the land" and we will need all of our strength to fix it. I'm 76 and hope that we can turn this around before I die.

The plan was in place many years ago and we are seeing the results. The Supreme Court was the final nail in the coffin. They overturned Roe vs Wade and then gave the President immunity from the law that governs our country.

We are in for a helluva fight!

could not cheat?

Why didn't Kamala try to bring the Latino community to her side? Why so many things that should have been done?

In my view, and I do like Biden, he should have gone into the presidency with one term in mind, to prepare younger blood to run for the presidency? It would have given a candidate a lot of time to prepare, to talk to communities that needed to bring to the Democratic side, why didn't that happen?

What Kamala did was extraordinary, she was dealt with a two plus month to run a campaign, and that is not enough time.

Sooo...if republicans stole the election, it is Democrats fault for not protecting it, for not trying to be ahead of the cheaters.

Trump and his thugs have had time to perfect their cheating and it worked. That’s why toward the end of his campaign he was canceling rally’s and interviews, dancing around at what was supposed to be a town hall and letting all kinds of racist, misogynistic, vulgar comments spill from his dirty mouth. I also think JD Vance is the one the powers that be want to get their project 2025 in place because they know trump is a lazy, stupid pile of shit and can’t be relied on to get anything done. Once in the White House they’ll find a comfy place for him to watch porn and eat his burgers and fries. JD will end up as president and that’s even scarier than trump.

"After that, you don't have to worry about voting anymore. I don't care because we're going to fix it. The country will be fixed, and we won't need your vote anymore."

If you stop after the first two sentences, it's interpretable one way. But include even just the third sentence, and that becomes untenable. Include the previous paragraphs and it points less towards fixing the vote and more towards "fixing the country," whatever that means.

I have ALWAYS thought "W" stole the 2004 election. He and Blackwell, in charge of Ohio's counting of the votes, were tight.

Just like then, our side refuses to put up any fight. And you are right, "T" laid the groundwork for a sour grapes reaction if we did.

But how exactly do all the "D's" in government stand fast, when we are vastly outnumbered, and the other side is a Fucking CULT? For the time being, we have the Filibuster, but I sense, ASSHOLES that they are, once they realize our opposition, that will be gone.

My mail in ballot didn't even get counted I checked into it this morning.

Joe Biden had over 81 million votes in 2020, and even taking into account the millions of votes still to be counted in California and Arizona, and let's say the new voters and first-time voters Kamala should have had (let's say around 5 million more), there are like 10 to 15 million votes that could have never reached their destinations or where just ignored?

and could be a start, is if voters call their State Election Office or Headquarters or check online if their vote was accepted and counted.

I think it was stolen too.

The night when polls closed they were calling it the red mirage, and when blue district votes came in we would see a vast difference. But that never happened. It was called quickly too.

Putin, Musk and the felon had it fixed.

But if those voters feel that their votes were not delivered or counted please call your State Election office.

25. Voter registrations weren't up just for Democrats. Look at Florida.
Thu Nov 7, 2024, 10:33 PM
Nov 7

Last edited Fri Nov 8, 2024, 07:44 AM - Edit history (1)

From 2023 to 2024, voter registrations increased by 495,504. Of that number, 313, 632 were Repub registrations, or 63%. Democratic registrations increased by only 38,000, or 7 percent of the total. The rest of the increase was in voters registering for a minor party or registering with no party affiliation. You want to compare 2020? In 2020, there were 100,000 more Democrats registered in Florida than Republicans. Four years later, the number of registered Republicans topped the number of registered Democrats in Florida by 1 million.

A lot of voters didn't like the choice they had this year. Sure, they should have recognized the clear superiority of Harris over Trump. But millions of voters are not like DUers -- they aren't politically aware, don't pay that much attention, don't read the newspapers or watch the news. They vote based on their perceptions and feelings. So when they feel the previous four years was bad, they look to switch. It's how Obama defeated McCain. It's how Biden defeated Trump. And now its how Trump defeated Harris.

I worked a small precinct in Virginia that is probably 90 percent immigrants -- mostly middle eastern and north Africa. They live in a large rental apartment complex. Four years ago, there were around 530 votes cast in this precinct -- around 400 for Biden, 100 for Trump and a handful for third party candidates. This year, nearly 700 votes were cast. Harris received 400 again, but Trump had more than 180 and third party candidates got 90, mostly Stein.

I knew we'd win the precinct and we did. But I also knew that Trump was doing much better than four years earlier. And when I spoke to voters it became clear that the Trump voters were voting based on how they felt the past four years had not gone well from their perspective -- higher prices, foreign conflicts, the departure from Afghanistan were among the things they mentioned. And while I could try to convince them that inflation was under control and not the Biden administration's fault, that foreign conflicts were not the administration's fault, that the Afghan withdrawal was set in motion by Trump not Biden, they didn't believe me or care. It was about how they felt about the past four years and they didn't feel that good about it. So they were voting for change.

Apparently he said something to the effect of being a bridge when he ran in 2020 & they took it to mean temporary & he would step aside in 2024. They felt Harris was hoisted on them & even though they recognize she's competent, they wanted an open primary & would have chosen someone else. IDK, maybe those very people saw the enthusiasm & thought, "I can set this one out."

Some flags with the creases still in them. Saw a truck with all those Trump flags flying proud. Trump bumperstickers. Trump billboards. To me, it appeared that the Trump voters were there all along, just laying low.

And now, even my city is bristling with Trump paraphernalia. Flags hung from apartment windows. Trump signs on every lawn and American flags flying with Trump flags just beneath them on flagpoles.

They were there, waiting the whole time, to display their colors. Waiting for him to win. And now they're out and proud about it.

54. Dominion sued Fox for defamation, and won $780M
Thu Nov 7, 2024, 10:58 PM

Seem to remember there were a few others they threatened to sue and/or sued for the same reason(s).
Thus solidifying that they have integrity and that they take it seriously and their integrity shall not be impugned!
So we can all agree that there can be no question that there were no shenanigans afoot here... right?

I mean, who would believe that... right?

I mean, they sued Fox and won over it. They sued FOX! Not the liberal NYT, or Soros-backed MSNBC. They went after FOX!
They must take their integrity seriously. After that, how could anyone suspect they'd engage in any kind of ratfuckery.

I mean, what? You're gonna claim that they doctored the vote in Trump's favor after they sued Fox for claiming they rigged it for Biden? Who would believe that? You'd sound as bad as Trump himself whining about rigged and stolen elections.

That's crazy talk... right?

I think something isn’t on the up and up.

1. The comment he made a few days before the election about “having all the votes” resonates with me. The way he said it - as if he already knew; and

2. The margin is so big. I’d be less skeptical if the margin was closer, but it’s almost like someone was doing something and decided to make it “bigly”.

No proof. Just my gut. Full disclosure, I think something happened in 2016, too. So why was 2020 what it was? Because Putin is smart and doesn’t push too far too fast so it doesn’t look obvious.

You can bitch at me all you want for saying this, but this is how I feel.

Fri Nov 8, 2024, 01:05 AM

And where the opinion I'm addressing is based on stated "facts" that are mistaken or incomplete I try to point out why the poster's opinion is built on a flawed foundation -- like the claims made in a number of posts on DU that there is evidence of fraud because Harris only got 69 million votes or that the total number of votes is 18 million less than in 2020 -- claims which fail to recognize that there are millions of votes left to be counted or that vote totals have varied in the past - compare Obama 2008 to Obama 2012 to Clinton 2016.

So if its someone's opinion that lasers from Mars changed votes, I'm going to state my opinion that such a claim is ridiculous because, as a factual matter, there is no evidence that Martians wanted to Trump to win.

75. Link to evidence that millions of "legal" voters were purged?
Thu Nov 7, 2024, 11:44 PM
Nov 7

Yes, millions of voters were purged over the past several years. Federal law provides for the regular review of election rolls. People die. People move. But if you have proof that millions of the folks removed from the election rolls in the past four years were "legal" voters, you need to get it to the DOJ, the media, and post it here so we can have confidence that it happened.

onenote

101. Can you point me to where any of those sources said the voters removed from the rolls were all "legal" voters
Fri Nov 8, 2024, 12:29 AM
Nov 8

Look, the removal any legal, eligible voter from the rolls is a bad thing. And the process by which election roll purges are conducted is flawed. But while these sources indicate that 19 million voters were purged between 2020 and 2022, they also estimate that the number of eligible voters caught up in these purges is in "the thousands". Not one of these sources suggests that all, or even most, of the voters removed from the polls are eligible voters. Nor is it likely that they would be given that the purges remove dead voters and voters who have moved -- typically, a not insignificant number.

That's not a pattern I think is plausibly explicable by fraud. We've seen Trump try to steal an election before, and it wasn't sophisticated or competent. It failed badly.

If it was "stolen" it was by deploying propaganda to our stupid and gullible electorate. People are frustrated with their standard of living, and they incorrectly attribute the blame, and have no idea why it's not changing when Democrats promise to do something about it.

Possible- I guess. I wouldn’t put it past Trump if he had the means or organization to do such a thing. Still, I’m more than a little skeptical about such a claim. I’ll have to see some proof. President Biden said Trump, “won it fair and square.” VP Harris said basically, the same. I’ll go with what they say until I see hard evidence to the contrary. As a Party, we need to look seriously at the reasons why we lost then, gather the lessons learned and make the corresponding adjustments for the 2024 midterms. Accusing Trump of stealing the election without tangible proof, reduces us down to his level. That’s a place I certainly don’t want to go.

Republicans stole the 2000 and 2016 elections with voter suppression.

There IS evidence, but Democratic leadership refuses to look at it, let alone act on it.
I guess they're afraid of sending a message to voters that their votes won't count, thereby discouraging turnout, but look at the results of that "see no evil" policy: We keep "losing."

They always come up with some bs that they tell their followers that the democrats are going to do. Then they do it themselves and because they said the other side did it they get by with it. Big lie was to muddy the water and make it seem completely crazy and then do it. Example would be voter fraud. They holler democrats are doing voter fraud and yet almost every case of voter fraud is a republican. He hollers about Hillary's emails then he stuffs stolen classified documents in a restroom and other locations. So which pizza place did they meet up at to get children from Epstein?
The other thing he has veto proof senate. He has control of the house of Representatives and the courts. So keep him as tied up with as much bs to limit the damage done. Oh my, I sound like Mace Windu. Without the violence.

Beyond Greg's comments:
The track record of Trump in his fraud case went well beyond the statute of limitations. $454 Mil was only part of the fraud. It stretched many years before that.
Over 30,000 lies or misrepresentations in the Oval Office and thousands before and after.
Indicted for 90+ felonies, convicted on 34 so far
Trump Org convicted of 17 felonies for fraud and tax evasion with his lawyer & CFO jailed for their crimes in it
We also have Russian involvement in prior elections (along with obstruction of Mueller) and alleged Russian bomb scares of Democratic polling stations this year plus bots in this election
Trump was in a desperate position: win or jail.
He's a career conman. He's been scamming people his whole business life.
Trump's always cheated. He couldn't help himself this time - the stakes were too high. He had to make sure.

The Dominion & Smartmatic and GA election worker defamation lawsuits plus Trumps 61 election cases helped to lay the vulnerability of the election systems bare. You don't think Trump people/Republicans also saw 'opportunities' there?

From all that, I'm not supposed to have any basis for some suspicions or skepticism?
I think you would be a complete fool and nuts not to scrutinize it.
Outwardly, they've taken the high road and maybe they are letting Trump think he can relax - that he got away with it.
I'll bet a bundle that they're looking it over - particularly in areas where their internal polling doesn't line up with the results.

There were articles in the NYT and elsewhere about Cleta Mitchell training activists to challenge the registrations of many likely Dem voters. Many happened, but I am not convinced it was enough to change the outcome in the swing states.

Yes, election mail was certainly not all smooth or timely, but overwhelmed election workers were also struggling to process everything. At least that's a big part of what happened to my disabled friend who applied and didn't get her ballot in time to turn around and mail it back with any assurance it would actually arrive on time. Not positive that the problems were all the fault of the USPS, although it would not surprise me to find that some was.

Biden got 81,283,501 votes. At present, Harris has 69 million votes now, but there are millions of votes yet to be counted, particularly in California where it is estimated that at least 6 million votes haven't been tabulated. The final numbers will put Harris behind Biden's numbers, but by a smaller margin than we're seeing now.

And there is nothing inherently suspicious about the number of votes that a party's candidate gets varying from election to election. Even Obama saw his popular vote number decline by between 3 and 4 million in 2012 compared to 2008. And Hillary's popular vote total was similarly smaller than Obama's 2008 number essentially the same as Obama's 2012 number despite there being millions more votes cast overall in 2016 than in either 2008 or 2012.

It would be harder to manipulate in person voting - you call the votes in at the end of the night and you are going to send in all the ballots. It's all going to need to match.

But I could see fraud happening with mail in ballots. We all know who controls the post office.

...as an example of the actions they've been undertaking that are treated as acceptable and not seen as "stealing" (even if you're right in that particular example of gerrymandering admittedly isn't particularly relevant to the presidential election). But they were very open in their intentions to prevent another so-called "stolen" presidential election after 2020 and have spent Biden's entire presidency working to that end on a state by state basis, at all levels. I can't think of any major red state legislatures who didn't attempt something to that end, whether it was making it harder for people to vote, purging voter rolls, establishing voting committees of dubious constitutionality, etc.

Bungled pandemic. Death and carnage.

I could go on and on. It's recent history that I lived through.

Consider the possibility that, if they did have suspicions, a prudent person would not be vocal about it until all the votes were counted and you had all the proof. Otherwise, you look like the maga crowd when it doesn't pan out.

I'm not saying I believe it was stolen; I'm just saying arguing that "Harris doesn't think so because she hasn't said she has a concern" isn't really evidence.

Even while Biden congratulates Trump and schedules a White House meeting to begin work in the transition?
That contention makes Trump’s 2020 claims sound reasonable by comparison.

You have no proof. Don't you think that if there were any possibility that he stole it that the Democratic Party would be all over it? Come on now. I am as upset about the results as you are but I am not going to make myself look silly.

The stakes couldn't be higher this time. If Trump lost, it would be jail time for him. It would end the Republican Party for at least a generation because they would have to reinvent themselves after two successive Trump losses. If Trump lost, it would continue the war in Ukraine (and the crushing of the Russian economy). Putin can easily win the war with Trump pulling support and also trying to break up Nato and the UN.

The history of cheating is there.
The motives are stronger than ever.
We would be blind to not open our eyes to the possibility.

The Democrats had plenty of lawyers ready to go in case he tried to cheat. And how do you think he could have pulled this off. There are many security measures in place to guard the integrity of the ballot box. And what about the Senate? We lost it too. Did the GOP senators also cheat? I don't think so. An operation that large would be impossible. I'm very disappointed in DU that some members of DU are engaging in crazy conspiracy theories. You make us all look bad.

Please imagine we are sitting at the table together and I say this. There are many, many ways to gain power, steal power, remain in power. Some people live for that, others try to play by the rules is what I'm saying. I think he stole it. Fewer people voted in this election than the last. Something smells. I am not saying I am right, only saying what my instincts tell me.

It is kinda silly, but I've been watching this guy every week. He's always said Kamala would win, there would be Republicans fighting it, but in the end she would be elected. Then, the unthinkable happened. I figured this guy would not make predictions so bold because he would be laughed off of Youtube and lose his income, and that might still happen, but this is what he posted after the election.

QUICK UPDATE For Everyone- I know everyone is shocked, angry and dismayed over the recent election results but please know that everything is not as it seems. During the next few weeks, we will see several investigations regarding the election results that will require federal Investigations into their authenticity. In the meantime, we are dealing at our home in California with a current power outage and a nearby widespread fire threat. I will keep everyone posted but we may have to evacuate shortly at some point. The fires are projected to last through Friday Morning. Everyone, stay calm and take care. I will speak with you again soon.

We have to follow the leads. If they don't pan out, then they don't.

Who really cares what the pundits and GOP think about Democrats at this point? Do we really think that they will be easier on us if we just quietly accept what they have done?

Of course the election was stolen. Nothing surprising about that, but it is very difficult now to do anything about it. The window of opportunity was shut a while ago. Why do people think that Trump and others kept hammering on "the Democrats are stealing elections!" nonsense? The Republicans stole that issue from us. Those on the Left who have been pointing out the election rigging efforts by the Republicans over the last 25+ years have been dismissed as cranks and conspiracy theorists, or just ignored.

All sorts of voter suppression tactics were used, and millions - disproportionately African American voters - were purged from voter registration rolls. Absurdly long lines in African American districts have become so routine that it has become normalized. "Look at those brave people standing in line or hours!" I saw posted here more tha once. Why should there ever be lines like that anywhere? Or else the voters themselves are blamed - they should have done this, they should have done that.

The numbers don't make any sense. I believe this is a stolen election involving not just the Republican party but billionaires and Russia
1. The company that does our exit polls is suspect. In the past they changed their exit poll numbers to agree with the results of the election. This time they came out ahead of the election with a detailed analysis of "exit polls". I think the exit poll information we are getting is manufactured.
2. The money betting on the outcome of the election moved strongly towards tfg right before the election. That indicates money was betting on a win for tfg. What did they know?
3. Greg Palast has been investigating voter suppression in this country for years. Hopefully he is consolidating information now about voters and votes removed from the results in this election. He has written a book titled “How Trump Stole 2020,.” I have not had time to read the book yet, but it sounds as though tfg expected to win that election (through fraud).
4. TFG wrongly accused Dominion and Smartmatic of vote flipping. I think there is a different company that did just that in 2020 and also in 2024. They made sure to steal many more votes this time.
5. The hacker group Anonymous (who stopped the steal in 2008) believes the numbers for this election don’t add up.
6. We know Russia interfered in our elections in that past. It makes sense that they interfered again in this election.
