So republicans I assume have access from big data

Last edited Thu Nov 7, 2024, 11:44 PM - Edit history (1)

on every person in the USA. So they knew who Democratic voters were, or potential democratic voters, who were often bros. And their phone numbers. So they messaged them with things to make them stay on the couch and not vote? More than 7 million fewer voted for a Democratic President than did in 2020. That is my hypothesis.

Is it right to assume the GOP has data on every person in the USA through not just social media but corporations? And their phone numbers?

On FB, IG, TikTok, X... Etc.

With major help and consultation from the Russians who started this game very early on.

Remember this? https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-disrupts-covert-russian-government-sponsored-foreign-malign-influence#:~:text=%E2%80%9CAt%20Putin's%20direction%2C%20Russian%20companies,effort%20to%20subvert%20our%20election.

Meanwhile, our campaign did not even compete in this space. We will need to deploy suppression and disinformation campaigns in the next election to put THEIR key constituent butts on the couch.

Legislative campaign in Florida. I actually toured the server facility/HQ of a particular company in Daytona Beach when we were recording and setting up a Bill Clinton endorsement.

Mainly gaming algos in Social Media today. It was horrific this cycle.

Targeting robocalls and texts.

Even the sophistication of the party databases.

then in Canada. They ranked people 1 through 5 on if they would vote for our candidate. But we didn't know what books people were reading or what games they were playing or whether they were a fan of guns.

The numbers will be going up.

They will not reach Biden level though.

zip codes. I’m sure some DUers know facts.

The data might have a price. I got a number of texts from Democratic organizations to vote before my absentee ballot showed up as accepted.

with outrageous policies. Would we ever be able to find out? I know I've personally experienced them targeting me with bullshit texts but I was so mad that I blocked them and the proof was lost in a sea of other texts.

policies. They just have to harp on some Democratic issue that will piss some well defined person off. People don't always support the complete slate of policies from the President they would vote for but vote for them anyways. If you know details on a person and what they dislike you can target them if you were the GOP.

This isn't accurate. There are still millions of votes left to count in CA.

Harris will end up about 7 million short of Biden 2020, but there's no reason to believe they're all Democrats.

Biden's coalition included lots of independents, moderates, and some Republicans. Harris's coalition pretty clearly wasn't on the same scale.

Some of that former coalition likely crossed over to Trump and some probably stayed home or skipped the top line.

I had exactly the same thought you did when I first looked at the numbers. I've just had some time to dig and also got some feedback that helped me see them in a different light.

And to be clear, there could still be a lot of Dems in that end "stay home" number, maybe millions. It'll take some time to deconstruct the election. I hope that someone like Pew does an extended analysis like they usually do.
