Absentee ballots can be tracked from when they are sent to when they are received back by the State.

RFK Jr lawsuit slowed down first batch, they claimed, so no way to know until late.

GOP in this state made it so the government is no longer allowed to show on its website a ballot in transit.

It says:
“ If there is no ballot information in this section, we do not have a record that you returned an absentee ballot by mail or that you have voted in-person at an early voting site for the current election.
County boards of elections will post ballot acceptance information, but ballot requests are no longer public record until the ballot is returned, or until Election Day, whichever is earlier. If you have not received your ballot within two weeks of your request, contact your county board of elections.”

It is now after Election Day, that 4th ballot was received but never cast, and yet it still does not show that the ballot was requested or mailed.

I don't doubt there were snafus with using Absentee ballots here and there, but the post to which I responded asserted there must have been 20-30 million Democratic absentee ballots disappeared via a USPS conspiracy. I find that very hard to believe that with that depth of conspiracy it wouldn't have risen to the attention of Dem officials in multiple states.

16. Actually, tracking of First Class Mail is not offered by the USPS.

I wanted to use it for some eBay sales-- but there would be no proof that I mailed items, or that they were received, via First Class Mail.

If they "disappeared" en route, there's no good way to find out at what point they were lost--- unless you actually catch some driver in the act of dumping them.

Packages, on the other hand, get re-scanned at every stop--- so if a driver picks it up, and it doesn't get to the next stop, they know exactly who was responsible for it when it disappeared.

I'm saying that ballots aren't really tracked at all while going through the U.S. mail.

Mailed 2 requests at least six weeks ago.
Nothing showed up. Nothing recorded in county website.

Figured it was delayed due to last minute RFK Jr court challenge. Once that cleared, waited a while longer, nothing.

Re-requested 1, eleven days before election. (The other one came home mid-school term and was able to vote early.) This request was done online. It did not ever show up.

Fourth request (third person) was also made eleven days before election. it did show up but not until the afternoon before the election, too late to vote and deliver without extraordinary expense.

GOP changed rules — can’t track ballots. Can’t count votes received day or two after election. Must include copy of photo with mailed in absentee.

was my immediate response way back when William Bennett, Reagan's Sec Ed, announced that administration's intent to begin pulling funding from public education. When trump was elected in '16 I posted that we were witnessing the harvest of Reagan's actions. Now it seems that half our population never did learn how to think critically. I still seethe every time one of them waxes poetic about RR.

WTF? 12 million Dems didn't even vote? What is going on here?

Some have claimed that messaging about "fascism" did not matter to the million who don't even know what the word means.

Well, that what an effective anti-woke, anti-education, anti-history, anti-truth movement does to ensure ignorance among the people they want to control. Did we hand too much power to the RW local voters to really destroy an education system that historically had placed America at the global pinnacle of a well informed citizenry? And now, with the Trumpers in office, what is left of a admirable educational system will be further eroded. Civics and History will be shaped by the oppressors.

It's the little things that make a big difference.
