How Taylor Sheridan helped the mood of the country elect Trump

If anyone has seen any Sheridan show (Yellowstone, Lioness, Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown),
You will notice they are all the same show with strong male characters that take the law in their own hands, don’t ask permission, make things happen, old school attitude. All of them feature men and women who work outside of the law. These shows are very popular and help to create the idea that real men get shit done one way or the other, we don’t have to to like them but you respect them because they take of theirs and our country at any cost.

Now you have Donald Trump who acts with impunity and gets away with everything. He portrays himself as making things happen when others wait around for permission ( Congress). He is promising to act and the people know this kind of guy and subconsciously they want someone to come in and make things happen fast. Kick ass and take names, Stop the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, bring down mortgage rates, bring down food prices, stop the scary immigrants coming in to do jobs most Americans won’t do.

I think many things went into why Kamala Harris lost, it’s not just one thing. Racism, sexism, and machoism!

It was shallow, historically inaccurate, and often boring. I gave up on it halfway through after growing weary of the whole “let’s kill people we find annoying and throw their bodies down a canyon” schtick. If people think that’s how people should act then we are a lost nation.

A new show titled Land Man that’s about to start. The 4th grade title the big D energy. This is what the people are drinking up, couple that with the Joe Rogan podcasts, and bro movement out in the zeitgeist and we have a perfect toxic stew that lets people feel compfortable voting for him over her.

I am persuaded by your analysis. I think you are on the right track here. Somehow, many people ARE drawn to fictional characters who are violent as they accomplish their agenda with no regard for the law.

I believe that this is not helpful for our society.
