Besides, that sounds like a horrible idea. Among myriad other reasons, Putin would use that as an excuse to use them on Ukraine or destroy infrastructure under false pretenses.

That will invoke WW3. You may be willing to be vaporized, die of a horrible radiation death or worse, survive it, but I'm not. There are no winners in a nuclear exchange. The whole point of having nukes is so the other guy doesn't use them on you. But push too far and you force them to fly their birds.

Entire northen hemisphere will be affected, which means even nueteral and non combantant nations will be affected. There are no winners. And you kill innocent lives over something they were not even part of.

And spare me the meme that Russia wouldn't use them. That was the arguement the Generals were giving to JFK during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Thank God he took the quiet deal (some would call it appeasement) to get out of that mess. Otherwise, we not even be here today.

This would be a major criminal blunder to have a nuclear holocaust. However, most responsible would not be alive to face justice and those that survive, would probably be forced to stay in the hell landscape they created. Why waste good rope?
