I got a question about Trump's retribution/revenge list.

Latitia James, Tony Fauci, Pelosi, Schiff, Liz Cheney, Fani willis...etc are supposedly all on the chopping block for some kind of prosecution.

What exactly is the "crime" or crimes they committed? They were all just doing their jobs and honoring their oaths. Even if they can find a prosecutor willing to initiate a case, what Grand Jury is going listen to Trump's lawyer(s) try to convince them that a government employee doing his or her job, should be indicted because Trump wants revenge?

Or will it all be just for show and inconvenience to the defendant?

In the (old?) American system the judicial system represents We The People.

In the fascist system they all work for dear leader and do what he orders.
Or else. You fall from high windows.

I think he will be like Putin who always leaves his calling card at his murders.
Follows the same patterns over and over.

Putin wants people to know he did the crime and can get away with it.
Like a serial killer.

So yes Trump may have his signature murder style as well.

..to get indictments from by-the-book AG's and prosecutors. If he succeeds to the point of Hitlerian type control it would be an accelerated process. But I'm thinking it would take a while to fill the entire executive branch with loyal servants. Maybe not...

We gotta' watch how things go for a few months and how extreme he gets. If the f'n politicians ever decide he's gone too far, they might decide to do what's right.

And if they don't stop him, maybe the rest of us will...

We shall soon find out.

I do not think it will take long to fill loyalist positions.
The thought of unlimited power and wealth is intoxicating and irresistible to many.

We have seen even good judges, stall, delay and keep things at a crawl so Trump could get back into power.

The GOP politicians are in so deep, I don't think they can come back to a normal stance.
They are like made men in the mob. There is no way out except in a pine box.

6. Going forward, Presidents should issue blanket pardons for their administration personnel....

and any others who they deem may need them at the end of their term.

I’m pretty sure I’ve read pardons can be issued in advance of being charged.

A pardon could be written to apply to any and all crimes that may have been committed as an employee of the Executive Branch. Language could be added to exclude all instances of rape, murder and other egregious acts.

It’s probably clear I’m not an attorney. I’m open to correction by someone who is!

8. Well, Nixon was pardoned without being charged with crime.

So, yes, it can be done, and should be done. It should extend to all members of Congress who have shown opposition to The Felon--Pelosi, Schiff, Swallwell, Lieu, Kinzinger, Cheney, etc.

But, with his SCOTUS-blessed immunity, who thinks The Felon/dictator wouldn't order their arrest anyway, in spite of a pardon from Biden?

new adminitrations could get to work and not be focused on revenge.

I’m sure I would have lost my shit over it at the time, but Ford pardoning Nixon was probably the best move foe the country. Everyone knew he was guilty. He had to resign. History has judged him harshly.

and I've never really gotten it back. Still p*ssed about it. Best for the country? I have doubts. Since The Felon's first term, I have thought that if Nixon had been held accountable, maybe The Felon wouldn't have pulled some of the sh*t that he did/has. OTOH, felons will be felons.....

and serious arguments can be made.

“Moving on” and avoiding a devisive, pro-longed trial with an outcome that was going to greatly anger one side carries a lot of weight with me. Also, Nixon’s reputation was totally destroyed, and he had been humiliated in resigning. By that point, resolving Watergate was more about the country, not continuing to exact another pound of flesh from Nixon.

But, this isnt a hill I’d be willing to die on.

As you note, there is no basis to arrest any of them. The “crime” is criticizing Trump, and only exists in his mind. But the threats got sociopaths to turn out for him.

The fear helps him consolidate power, by pressuring people obey in advance. So don't.
