Story of Transgender Pageant Winner

The below story of a transgender woman winning a beauty pageant was posted all over social media and pushed by right wing leaning sources. I tried to do some research and it appears to be fake. I saw a comment somewhere from someone that lives in the New Hampshire area where the article claims this took place but they had heard nothing about it. The actual pageant social media shows nothing on it. If you search youtube many videos with hundreds of thousands views each will come up with this questionable story.

I'm posting this to show how the right wing uses this to influence people to support them. There have been pageants with transgender contestants but they look similar to the usual pageant contestants. This story being pushed by the right wing shows an overweight person and someone that will never win these pageants. But they are tryng to push the shit that people like this are taking away from women.

1. Of all the real/created controversies the right might want to pursue re: transgender, this seems the most

ridiculous. Granted, I think "beauty" pageants are totally demeaning to all and absolutely a relic of a previous time (or ought to be). Still, this seems the least valid premise for the right to pursue in their anti-trans agenda.

2. There have been some trans beauty contest winners in real contests

but as you say, they look like what you'd expect a beauty contest winner to look like. I suspect this story was made up as "evidence" that a trans woman who is not conventionally attractive and could not have won as a cis woman was chosen because she is trans - a sign of liberal "wokeness" that gives special advantages to trans people. Bullshit, of course.

Also, the photo looks kind of faked. Her head is much too big and her arms don't match her face. And fuck beauty contests anyhow.
