I'm not the most prolific poster here, but that wasn't why I joined. I was looking for like-minded people who had information and perspective to share. It took me a few years to finally throw some money at this crazy forum, (I miss gravel bot, I think) but I do not regret any of it. It helped me feel not so alone when I was living in red upstate NY. Since then I've lived in Atlanta, Virginia(NoVa) and now I'm in Maryland.
Thank you, DU for being a part of my life!!
Also: F*ck off to the GOP a billion times more than in 2004.

(32,806 posts)So much has changed, and then nothing. People are still people. I'd been a lurker for quite a while back in the day. I learned so much here, about so much. Course I forget more than I remember, but it was such a really informative site, with people turning you on to all kinds of info. For me it's a port in damn near any kind of storm.

(32,806 posts)of this place. My husband died this year, so it was my first election without him. I have not been very interested in national politics lately, but this year, it was the closest thing to home I could find.
