it's probably foolish to think nothing is being done. Think Harris is working for recounts of legislative races. Pretty sure a savvy hand like Joe has brought the best minds together to do as much as possible to set mitigation in place to protect the most crucial departments and INTEL

Might wanna look for ways to stay calm and network where you can. Who will help us? Or who will save us? We are the answer to both questions. Network and make plans to help others ride this out. There is more going on than you or I know. But your neighbors, that is the most immediate help. Be a part of that, it will help you feel a bit better.

Are you saying the President and Vice President have no way of influencing public opinion of some of Trump’s plans? I’d think even slowing down the process of Trumpification of our government would give people more time to digest the kind of change going on. The nice thing about a forum like this is some useful specifics might arise or might not. Even if this is just a pressure release complaining session, does it really need to get shut down.

If they can make a few Republican Senators or Congresspeople or their constituents more nervous about the road ahead, maybe a couple appointments fail. Maybe Trump scales back his plans. Maybe nothing changes. Is your idea that they pack it in for the next two months and look to 2026 or 2028? Btw, your name makes me curious about what sort of music you do.

Trump has the Congress and the SCOTUS and he is replacing military leaders with people
loyal to him and Project 2025. There isn't much to do until voters figure they fucked up.
No matter which party gets full control of the government they always overstep and hopefully there
will be a Blue Wave in 2026.

them scores of thousands of votes?

I guess if Biden has some massive force directly under his control and loyal only to him he could do a "finish all family business" maneuver or take our chances on starting the civil war and hope we maintain most of the military and public short of that we are pretty stuck.

The problem is we have way too many ultra stupid, traitorous low life motherfuckers not a lack of fight from politicians.

Maybe if someone has a time machine handy they can go back get Biden out earlier and whoever emerged half way run against him while his supporters stiff upper lip and go with it then MAYBE...just maybe we get ahead of the fuckwit wave...maybe.

You can not stage a coup on a “might violate constitution” scenario. Biden and Harris have very prescribed roles and since Trump will not be in office until they leave, they can’t interfere with a peaceful transfer of power under the guise he will violate the constitution. The country doesn’t work that way.

Is it frustrating that we all know he will go down that road after he’s in office and no one can do anything about it now since he isn’t currently in office doing those things? Of course. But that’s the bind they are in.

Hopefully they’re using this time to drop as many poison pills into legislation as is legally possible right now.

It defines the length of terms.

I guess I just missed the part where the current president is empowered to arbitrarily extend his term to defend against whoever he declares to be an enemy?

Good thing Trump missed that section in 2020!

This is some pretty silly stuff.

SCROTUS says he can no do a whole lot more to protect and defend the Constitution.

Therefore, he cannot in good faith turn over the government to people who would end the Constitution.

Then he can De-MAGAfy the government’s three branches.

To exit the national emergency: Hold elections without insurrectionists and we can go from there.

The staff was outside on the street clapping and honoring her. She sent out love and thanks to them with a smile and a wave and then told them to get back to work! There is much to do!😁💗💗 I saw video of Biden at the beach with Jill chilling as I believe he is supposed to be doing at this point of the venture. We have had many tight, crazy elections in the past and I’ve never seen the ‘retiring’ President get involved in the counting. Harris is on the job.

Things of "The cat's out of the bag" sort.

Think Ukraine.

Repubs have repeatedly trashed works in progress just before elections, and privately, as well.

So do something after the election.

Is someone going to fire them?

No.
