so, i have a neighbor that is a genuinely good guy. rly, always there to help. but he has guns, illegal here, and i always knew he was rw. but he’s respectful, and we’ve never argued about it. he consumes a lot of news, but his sources of info r bad. lot of them r ‘mainstream’.

he’s been wanting to sell and get out of chgo for at least 10 yrs. wanted to live near 1 of his 2 daughters, but they keep moving around. finally decided to move to nc, where he has many friends who have moved from here. he owns property w a couple of them.
he gave me a ride to the hospital and back the other day, and i asked when he was moving. him- well, my friends there r all true blue dems, like u, and i dont think i’m welcome now.

dudes prolly gonna die here now. alone. in the heart of blue.
i cant feel sorry for him, but the thing is- he’s not a hater, but he sure is a hardcore cynic.
i dont think we talk enough about how toxic cynicism is.
