Yes, enforcing laws is part of the concept of having laws.

So I imagine trump isn't allowed to carry, but he probably does anyway and his parole officer is being overtly negligent.

if he was convicted in Florida he isn't able to vote or have a firearm or be in possession of ammunition and firearm related items.

Funny how that is ignored for certain individuals

Yes, under federal law, a convicted felon is generally prohibited from owning, possessing, or using a firearm; this is codified in 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) which states that individuals convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for more than one year cannot possess a firearm.

Federal law applies: This restriction applies nationwide under federal law.
