because we will need it to deal with migrants that will surely be bussed in by the thousands from Texas and Florida. They need housing, food, clothing, medical care.

And when the country breaks up, Texas will grow tree of paying for Oklahoma and Mississippi and West Virginia, and the flyover hicks can go to hell.

The wealthy and powerful seem to pull the strings no matter what form of government a country has and if they don't want anything to change it rarely will.

Wealth, power, and privilege exist in any government, and always has. What differentiates a democracy is that anyone can run for office, and there is an accounting on power that occurs at regular intervals with elections. Despite his stated intentions, Trump will not become president for life - there are too many others who have no problem getting back into the White House who absolutely won't support him as PFL.

The red states do not strive to get better, look at Medicare expansion, instead, the hope is to make others worse… ugly everyone up.

It creates jobs as you need healthcare workers and it can lead to lower strain on overburdened hospitals if people have access to a doctor other than being forced to use the emergency room because they can't pay.

hollowed out, dirt poor hamlets... WITH TRUMP SIGNS!

The people we chatted with were thrilled with the election results.

They crowed about their (homeschooled) kids that "felt the same way".

One HUGE sign on a long empty storefront read "TRUMP 2024 - The REVENGE tour!"
