I've tried to explain this to people many times........ once drumpf runs roughshod over not just the military but the entire government, and they star firing all the lifetime employees who actually know how to DO stuff, it cannot be repaired. we can't just elect a Dem president in 4 years and hope they fix it, which is all our party EVER is allowed to do. fix a country a rethug fucked up. Then we fix it and the voters say "thanks. BTW, you're fired". FUCKING INFURIATING.
But my point is, once the people that know how to execute the plan of the president and his cabinet are gone, THEY ARE GONE. if we cut thousands and thousands of people out of government in the name of "getting rid of waste", those people are all going to have to get new jobs to survive. And good luck with that when the economy collapses, but that's another problem altogether.
if our military gets gutted, and becomes dysfunctional, you can't just put some Democrat in charge of it in 4 years and expect it to work again. You could put Barack Obama in charge of a Burger King with no employees, and we all love Obama, but guess what, with no one there that knows how to make a burger, no one is going to eat. Obama can't run it all by himself.
This country legitimately has NO FUCKING CLUE that it has destroyed itself, but we're all about to find out the hard way.
