Oh, at first they will come for the Liberals and Independents, and MAGA types will sit back and laugh. Then, the tide will change and they will go after all of the MAGA supporters. By that time, no one else is around to help them.

I don't think any modern totalitarian regime allows/allowed private citizens to own anything more than light hunting firearms.

They helped the NRA a few years ago. Yet their laws are much more restrictive than ours are now.
