Why are questions about Gaetz not appropriate since he left office when questions were asked about

George Santos after he left office? Santos was expelled n federally indicted but Gaetz was once under a federal investigation, so why can’t we question the ethics committee findings?

The issue isn’t when questions are appropriate (that can be any time). It’s when the House Ethics committee has the jurisdiction to act - and that arguably ends when the subject is no longer a member.
