Trump Media, the company whose largest shareholder is President-elect Donald Trump, is in “advanced talks” to buy a crypto trading platform, CNBC reports.

Financial Times: “A successful deal would deepen Trump’s move into the cryptocurrency market after he began promoting a new crypto venture set up by longtime business partners, World Liberty Financial, from which he stands to earn significant fees. Crypto markets have also soared following his election victory, with bitcoin up more than 30 per cent on speculation that his administration would enact favourable legislation for the industry.”

1. Massive conflict of interest, crypto will tank the dollar

some say replace it. He will be in a position to benefit from policies that hurt the value of the US dollar. This is way worse and more comprehensive than fees at his luxury hotels.

but it's only today we learn about Trump's move into this crypto investment.

It is definitely true that Crypto hedges the dollar just like gold, though crypto can move on mere speculation, and gold and crypto can, but not often, move in opposite directions for awhile (as they are now).

There was an article earlier this year that pointed to a crypto ETF as something that would move 83,000%. It's moved 66% to date.

there were financial articles, usually from unnamed upper level financial guys at banks or hedge funds, who warned of the powers of the US Treasury, including the power to seal or seize deposit boxes. Now we have added moves in some countries for banks to charge a fee (%) to hold cash in an account, or to deposit cash to an account, or to spend cash. It's kind of like a wealth tax. At some points in some states they did assess the value of stocks and bonds. All these powers make anyone nervous. And yes Trump will go big its his only way of thinking or doing. This could turn out like plunder, Nazi style, without carnage. Aside from the war and holocaust, Nazism was a system of plunder. Now it will be friendly fascism.
