Donald Trump has vowed to begin his mass deportations program on his first day in office, and confirmed early Monday morning he plans to declare a "national emergency" and use "military assets" to achieve his goal of removing "millions" of undocumented immigrants from the United States.
On day one, I will launch the largest deportation program in American history to get the criminals out, Trump told supporters during his infamous Madison Square Garden rally last month.
But deporting millions is not the president-elect's only anti-immigration goal.
Trump's incoming White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, Stephen Miller, who is the architect of the "zero tolerance" family separation program in his first term, has bigger plans.
Miller, according The New York Times, has said that "military funds would be used to build 'vast holding facilities that would function as staging centers' for immigrants as their cases progressed and they waited to be flown to other countries."

The SC already nullified part of the 14th Amendment. Whats to stop them from nullifying birthright citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants? I can also see Republican states forcing doctors and hospitals to refuse to issue birth certificates to babies to make their claims of citizenship harder.

If he could, Trump would nominate General Custer to head the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

(3,076 posts)go after naturalized citizens -- even if they've been in the U.S. for decades. Miller asserts that many naturalized citizens are illegal because they or their parents committed fraud on their paperwork and/or lied in interviews.
I take heart, 'tho, because this entire process is going to be complicated beyond imagination. Miller aims to locate, prosecute, house, feed, and transport upwards of 20 million people. And that's not counting the time-consuming, expensive judicial proceedings that will occur. The current expense estimate of such an endeavor is $90 billion. And at some point the Repukes will realize that they're deporting many of their own voters.

He will do everything the cheapest way he can, people will be used for slave labor, people will get sick, and people will die!
Everyone keeps thinking that this process is going to be normal, following the current law, maybe we need to stop applying normal and legal to this incoming administration!

The only industry which would see a production boost is the judicial.
Meanwhile, they would be diverting huge resources from are actual real military missions to something the military isn't built for.

(2,878 posts)This isnt Ts first rodeo on sorting people out. Last time he didnt even bother to keep family member names together. They had zero intention of reuniting them. But I guess there was no crime done there.
