Tammy Baldwin has won in Wisconsin

I'm not a conspiracy theorist and I have no way of knowing if the election results are true and proper.

What I can't grasp is how people can split their ballot and vote for Senator Tammy Baldwin and Donald Trump. It's beyond my comprehension.

in North Carolina - the Democratic nominee was John Stein against MAGA Mark Robinson. Stein won well but MAGA Trump carried the state?

Robinson is essentially the same as Trump - a loud mouthed narcissist. There’s only one difference that I can see- he’s black versus orange 🍊

Ticket-Splitting is Part of Our DNA
North Carolina is home to a “rare political animal”: the split-ticket voter. Though the state’s electoral outcomes may seem head-scratching to some, it’s par for the course.

by Johanna F. Still
November 14, 2024

North Carolina’s propensity for ticket-splitting is so confounding that it recently inspired conspiracy theories.

One TikToker highlighted what he viewed as North Carolina’s suspicious voting irregularities in a video that’s been viewed 2.5 million times. “Are you really trying to tell me that 352,357 Democrats decided to vote for the Democratic candidate for the governor but not for the president? Yeah, I believe that,” he said sarcastically.

On X, a user with 1.3 million followers suggested authorities should launch an inquiry in N.C.: “As long as we don’t storm the Capitol, why can’t we DEMAND an investigation?”

Though it might be surprising—especially as the nation’s partisanship peaks—the truth is simple. Ticket-splitting may be unusual for other states, but it’s typical here. North Carolinians have a long history of voting for candidates from both parties in a single election.

American elections are popularity contests for apolitical voters; all they have to do is "love" the candidate. They don't understand that party does matter, since that's the organization that gets stuff done. This is why I like the parliamentary system better than the one we have.

Call me a moron or a kook, I don’t care which when it comes to the US Constitution. The facts are the people who tried to destroy our democracy now have, mysteriously as all get out, won election.

Anyone who fears being labeled a conspiracy theorist for wondering how was it possible for the same traitors who tried to seize power through insurrection and have now been rewarded for their treason at the ballot box aren’t crazy. They understand reality.

I read somewhere that a lot of hardcore Trump disciples would vote for him and then leave the rest of their ballot blank.

They literally don’t give a shit about the rest of the candidates!

She told me she has a great line when out in the redder farm country of her district. The farmers there sometimes tell her of the marital difficulties their job brings. She tells them she understands perfectly, since she is married to a woman, too. She says that line has helped break more ice than Minnesota has in the winter—and get her re-elected three times in a row now.

One of the notable things this year were Republican ads sarcastically pointing out that Tammy Baldwin has a "girlfriend." Repeated several times in the ad. "Tammy Baldwin and her girlfriend," The ad kept repeating that line. It was noxious, to say the least.

Despite that, she won. She's pretty popular in parts of Wisconsin, apparently.

Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, perhaps even Pennsylvania where it appears someone calculated just the exact amount of Democratic votes to toss in order for the buffoon to win.

I'd like to see our party get more aggressive on recounts and audits. That's not claiming there was cheating, it's just making sure there wasn't.
