Same model but new number was $300.00 higher. Demanded price as shown. They complied. Don't know if tariff driven, but saved $300.
Delivery tomorrow. Cleaning out present one and found that we hadn't pulled out the champagne we had been waiting to pop.
Not sure what that says, but this is not Kansas anymore.

(9,599 posts)It's the ignitor and luckily the repair person has the replacement part on them.
I'm not sure where appliance parts are manufactured so I wanted to get this repaired now and I had to take the day off work to get this done.
It took the repair person roughly 15 to 20 minutes and the cost was $189.00 total with tax.
Disclaimer: I didn't intend to hi-jack your refrigerator replacement thread with my oven replacement parts response but if anyone is reading this that's having appliance issues, my suggestion is to get it repaired/replaced now.

(2,677 posts)We bought our condo with a tenant in it while we took off a year for travel.
The fridge is at least a dozen years old. We remodeled kitchen, but so far had only replaced stove that had issues.
Planned to buy a new refer for Christmas. Decided on a good one as it would probably be our last.
We have remodeled a number of houses over the years and gotten Craig's list deals. Bought two and a half sets of kitchen cabinets in a closeout in TN many years ago. Rented a trailer to bring them to Florida.
We are waste not want not. Picked up two end tables put out in our neighborhood yesterday. Solid wood.
Bought an old two seat bench for the farm table in dining area on Facebook.
Had an antiques shop for 15 years and restored furniture.
Time to enjoy some nice stuff before we go.

(17,137 posts)Those parts tend to break down and the parts are hard to get sometimes.
I had a friend who worked for a company that works with appliance warranties and she told me that was the biggest issue with these over computerized applications and parts.
My fridge has very little computer components.
