3. Congress is required to meet once a year IIRC. So I guess technically he could do it.

Though of course, then congress can't pass laws or actually confirm appointments. Nor can they hold "investigations" into woke or whatever theater they want to gin up.

I think Donnie just wants a week or so to get his temporary cabinet in place, then he needs congress back to distract everyone from his continued incompetence and horror show

I believe Kamala would do it in a heart beat if she had the power. Another reason for Joe to step down now or three weeks before Jan. 20.

trump cannot use this power unless there is a disagreement as to adjournment. That means that the House would have to vote adjourned in order for trump to try this trick




This power has never been used and so it is not clear how this will work
