Have still not watched a single hour of MSNBC or CNN coverage since the election.

I cannot handle watching gleeful idiots in MAGA celebrating and preening around, giddy with anticipation of destroying the gains in equality made since 1964 (or truth be told since 1865). My heartbreak is born of being in a country that has constantly reminded me it is far more ignorant, stupid and afraid than I ever wanted to believe. And I cannot watch another 4 years of coverage that centers around the most offensive human being alive.

I'm done with all of it. In fact, I refuse to watch any and all American mass media outside of VERY selective NPR and BBC America stories. I know its a shit show, I know that the proposals and people being put in charge are nightmares, but I can't willingly subject myself to the same old same old media response and tired ass playbooks for lazy, ineffectual coverage and pathetic ass kissing again.

I don't really think I will ever return to watching it anywhere near as much as I did. Its a waste of time that could be better spent with my TBR reading wish list and spent over the next 4 years expanding my mind and letting those who fucked around find out exactly how good it was and how far in the wrong direction they chose to set sail and ride. I could not have a lower opinion of media personnel if they were molesting children live on air for views and clicks at this point...

But they already spent any benefit of doubt in 2016 in the way they attacked Hillary and normalized Trump. I thought they had turned it around in the last 7 years but apparently not.

and was glad when it became two hours. I appreciate the expertise of the guests that appear regularly. She had all of those medical experts on during Covid and it was so caring of her to do those tribute segments at each show’s end of people’s loved ones who had died. I love how authentic she is.

Who said I guess we shouldn’t have told you all those court cases we’re gonna go somewhere and apologized for it. Somehow I saw a little segment on that although I barely watch any news anymore… right now I’m watching the rookie on lifetime while I work. A serial bingeathon at certain times during the weekdays and nights. Eventually, I will get sick of this one and I’m going to have to find others to keep me distracted and entertained.
