Dem leaders know exactly what happened, and know what is in store for the country and American people.

They know that the election was stolen and how, and that we are now a Russian vassal state.
They know what the GOP and Putin are very capable of doing to critics and those who resist.
They realize there is nothing we can do anyway, but have to let it play out.

So Dem leaders are trying to keep people calm and safe.

Kind of like mothers on the Titanic locked in steerage kept their children calm and put them to bed
as normal after they realized the ship was sinking and only the rich were being evacuated.

So perhaps the Dem leadership is demonstrating leadership in an emergency.

This is not a one day battle but rather a four year or more war. What is happening is not a little thing but something that will require strength and perseverance in order to win our democracy back. Running around now saying we have to do something isn’t helpful. Rather it gets everyone upset without accomplishing much, if any thing.
I was trying to explain this to a friend last night. She’s on the verge of a breakdown. Her nerves are totally shot and all she can think about is using some podcasters “script” to write letters etc.
Who she’s writing to I couldn’t figure out. As far as I can tell the republicans will just laugh at letters at this point and the Dems are busy trying to accomplish as much as possible right now as well as brain storming how to deal with the coming administration. They don’t want this anymore than we do. If for no other reason than they hate having the republicans lord it over them.
We need to breathe and give our Democratic leaders room to breathe.
This is not a one day, or week or year battle.

I see people in total shock and fear suggesting all kinds of things that are a waste of time,
will backfire, and only waste resources.

This is the time for calm, clear leadership.
Spend some time gathering intel, information, and don't waste ammunition.
Make a plan.

Sometimes you have to let the enemy declare themselves and show their hands.
Besides there is nothing we can do at the moment.

I assume there is discussion at Dem high level leadership meetings.

your confidence.

History does not bear that out. Unfortunately.

A few examples?

Bush/Gore - accepting outcome prematurely.

Obama Garland USSC appt. blocked - always being the adult in the room

Tentativeness by Garland in going after tsf

Just a few
