I've been in a dark place since the election. My mom passed away on election eve and I have actively been avoiding the news. I was even avoiding NPR until today, when I decided to listen to NPR and heard this story. It's been so difficult have issue-based discussions with people at the national level since so many have been brainwashed by Fox News QAnon etc. I think the key to heal and bring people together (at least to talk sanely) is to do so at the local level.
