Tonight, I can say with confidence that I have won my race for the North Carolina Supreme Court!

It’s thanks to your collective efforts–the hours you spent knocking doors and making calls, your generous donations, and the work you did to get friends and family to the polls–that we can now declare victory.

This win shows the importance of ensuring that every voter’s voice is heard. On election night, we were down, but we knew there were many absentee and provisional ballots that needed to be counted. After all ballots were canvassed, we won by a margin of fewer than 1,000 votes.

A recount in this race is well underway, and six counties have already completed their recounts. Based on what we are seeing so far, we expect this recount to continue to proceed smoothly, confirm our win, and affirm the great work done by our state election officials.
