That would damage de Santis pretty badly, I would think.

Similarly, I think it's unlikely Gaetz will try to take his seat in the new Congress by using the excuse that he only resigned from this current Congress. If he tried that, then the report will leak and Gaetz will still be in the spotlight and Congress will have an ugly mess on its hands.

Gaetz is going to have to go into the woods for a while then he can come out and get a gig on Fox News or OAN.
