The people spreading baseless claims owe it to themselves and those being subjected to this misinformation campaign to read Snopes' breakdown in full.

Snopes is thorough and encompassing. Spoonamore has no credibility, and his assertions are based on claims he refuses to verify.
We have work to do. Enough distractions. This stuff only helps the Right.

(2,514 posts)Its not difficult and I don't know why some people are trying to make it such.
If the software was hacked and changed votes, there would be no paper trail or evidence. The evidence would be the paper ballots showing completely different numbers than the electronic counts. There is no other way to prove this one way or another. Instead of continuing to spend time trying to "debunk" this man or any others who have made such claims, just do a selective count of the damn ballots and be done with it. We aren't making wild, ever-changing claims like Trump did in 2020. Its a specific claim.

(13,205 posts)to verify the machines accuracy. 1) this is performed by actual election officials with the duty, responsibility and authority to perform such tasks (and, fortunately for all of us, as well as election integrity - not the Sally Sidelines and Steven Spoonamores of the blogosphere and 2) it is neither necessary nor productive to 'hand count' an entire state - we'll say PA - in order to 'verify' results. It isn't required - it doesn't prove anything - it is a massive, and massively expensive undertaking - and it serves to further illustrate that the Sally Sidelines out there really don't understand the subject or know what they are talking about.
And finally, you are also incorrect in your assertion that there is "no other way to debunk" Spoonamore's claims. In fact Snope just did so - by pointing to faulty figures, faulty math, and faulty logic and assumption. That is quite sufficient to 'debunk' Mr Spoonamore - and the basis of his argument.
Spoonamore described a hacking and fraud scheme whereby fake "bullet vote" ballots marked only for Trump and no other races or issues were inserted into electronic voting systems.
However, Snopes' research, in which we compared the vote tallies cited by Spoonamore with the latest official election results, found his figures to be incorrect and his assertions to make no mathematical sense.
