When the GOP lost across the board in 2020

followed by an attempted coup. They didn't wring their hands and wonder how to adjust their "messaging". They double downed on Trumpism and won in 2022 and now have taken everything.

There is a lesson here, I don't know what it is, but I think this is an important observation.

They campaigned to young men, blue class workers and Latinos...

it worked.

We need to get to work for 28 and start by not repeating mistakes.

It's scary how many support Fuckface and all the scary bullshit that goes on the white alpha male, more manly than you man-o-sphere. Things like Alex Jones, Dana White, Andrew Tate, Nick Fuentes, Joe Rogan... people listen to that shit. And it's scrambled their brains and detached them from reality. It's going to be a challenge to win them back.

Their gains among various demographics didn't materialize out of nowhere. The rightward shift we saw nearly everywhere across the country didn't magically appear. They adjusted their messaging, focused on specific groups, and worked on engaging their low propensity voters and new voters.

Worthy of running the government. I think half of America is just pathetic and stupid.

in 1974 I thought they would surely clean up their act. Instead they doubled down.

The presidency of Ronald Reagan was marked by numerous scandals, resulting in the investigation, indictment or conviction of over 138 administration officials, the largest number for any president of the United States.[1]

And if you think that's bad...

The lesson they *may* have taken from Nixon is that they can do whatever they have to in order to grab power and if they get caught they can just use the pardon power to get away with it. Just look at all the crooks TSF pardoned.
