Joyce Vance has something to say about TFG's Project 2025: It's ready to be implemented and it will.

https://open.substack.com/pub/joycevance/p/project-2025-its-on-predictably?r=lxca0&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=email

It's a bit long, but very worthwhile reading. She is clear-eyed about our future, living with this project.

Here's how she ends her post:

We are headed into a holiday week, and folks are still weary and demoralized from the election. But it’s time. It’s time to reengage and decide what role we’re going to play. Project 2025 isn’t about the best interests of the American people. It’s about a powerful president who can carry out the policies that people like Vought and Roberts have spent years crafting—whether we like them or not. Let’s pay attention!

We’re in this together,

Joyce

Coming so soon after the crushing election defeat(s).

Add to that the increasing tempo of disheartening climate news.

And dark fears stoked by Putin's latest saber-rattling speech.

And rivers' flooding in the northern part of our State with more rain to come from the latest atmospheric river.

I can't really muster the initiative to clear another 934 emails from my inbox, mostly unread. (Literally. Seriously).

I try to shift my focus to the good news: some wins in the House and a few in the Senate, and some wins in statehouses.
I need some positive news, some way to re-charge emotionally.

"The bottom line is that all of the pieces of Project 2025 that we’ve discussed for the last year are in play. We’ve known that here, even though Project 2025 seemed to fall off the radar screen after Trump's ersatz denial. Now it’s clear that all of the horribles are on the table, everything from the end of the Department of Education to the discontinuation of the weather warnings NOAA provides. In July, Roberts said on a podcast, “We are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.” If the left won’t “allow” the proponents of Project 2025 to have their way, they’re going to force it on us, and apparently, they’re willing to engage in bloodshed if Americans stand up for democracy."

That's a surprise to no one here, nor to anyone who was paying attention.

That little bit about NOAA will be impactful to the reddest of America's states, especially those in the South which are regularly wracked by hurricanes, tornadoes and flooding. Too bad they might get what they voted for.

Many were warning of Project 2025, what it proposes, what its intent was, and what it threatens to do. We warned that it was set up to go into effect day ONE, and that Trump and his MAGATS were lying when they denied it.

Anyone surprised by this just haven't been paying attention.

I needed to read that 900 some/odd paged tome, but guess I must.
I feel I must in order to hopefully steer my family/friends safely thru the danger,
or at least try. Especially since "he" won and now has appointed Vought as the
Director of OMB. This is getting REAL real quick. 3 days less than two effing months!
DU members need to stick together through the tough (if not disastrous) times ahead.
Buck up. Stay strong. And if you get down, watch some kitty videos.
And thank you Peggy for posting Joyce's article. I found it to be an easy read.
