This is from 2 days ago and Steve Schmidt

lays it down straight about media. I disagree with him when he says Mika is not a bad person. She has sold out more than once to kiss the ring and sit next to power. Did it in 2016 and now again in 2024. By doing so she legitimizes and enables the ones who are knowingly and purposely hurting the most vulnerable and mainstreaming the policies that are killing women in the emergency room. Doing so in order to hang on to your position in life, your money or your image of yourself does make you a bad person.

From the beginning of the time I ever saw these two my reaction was that I wouldn't recommend anybody to turn their back on them. But seeing sycophants behave like maggots swimming in the scum to get closer to what they feed on is an apt description for what passes as their concept of a program. They are not alone in their swim.

"the news" is just the orange grifter selling his bullshit.

i've been viewing this stuff with extreme skepticism ever since the "weapons of mass destruction" proved that "journalists" will tell lies in order to maintain "access".

acccess to what? more lies of course.

did anyone interview that little girl who was "johnnie" before he went to school sand came home a she?

did anyone ask the haitians for their dog recipes?

hell. that dana bash didn't enen know "what side of the aisle" the nazis marching in springfield represented?

how about the ten commandments and bible readings in school? we had that in the 50s when juvenile delinquents were as violent and disruptive as any kids today.

that reference to '50's is right on the money and I can assure people that most of the white people swinging bats at black people during open housing marches were attending mass and other religious services on Sundays.

However...

Doing so in order to hang on to your position in life, your money or your image of yourself does make you a bad person.

By this definition, a very sizable percentage of Americans are 'bad people'.

But, when one is deluged with propaganda that says you must do this above all else... well, here we are. Besides, most of these people are worshipped because they are ruthless in their quest to keep their supposed power. The population at large seems to think such behavior is acceptable and even to be applauded.

power in order to keep those things for themselves are bad people when they know the power is purposely hurting vulnerable citizens and also causing some to die as in the case of denial of abortion services. I know it fits a very sizable portion of the population. But it is what bad people do. Knowing is the key here. Someone who is just ignorant and voted for these people is not in that category. But millions and millions know what he is, what he did, what he plans to do, how he plans to do it, openly express that bigotry, hate and awareness and openly endorse violence.

Unfortunately it's not just the raving opinion of someone like me but that conclusion is based on the responses they give to surveys when asked about permissible violence against others and political opponents etc. A huge percentage of them endorse the idea of repression, religious indoctrination, punitive deprivation of access to social programs, discrimination and the list goes on.

I'm done with trying to reach them. They saw nothing wrong in attacking the Capitol on 1/6, attacking officers etc. and they are the same ones who foment an atmosphere of fear and hate regarding LGBTQ+ people as well as other groups "they" don't like because we are "not like them".

Yes in my eyes people are bad people who sell out to power in order to keep their house, income etc. despite knowing those powerful people knowingly and purposely crank up the resentment, hate and violence against vulnerable citizens.

Relate to any of us. She has never been hungry, cold or worried about where she would sleep or when her next meal would be. She has never had to really worry about her own survival in the street, she has never had to suffer real suffering.

She never impressed me in a favorable way, never got into watching that show because all the personalities on on are intolerable.
