Who think they can take what black folks have earned, our homes, our assets, and put us back to being slaves.

OR

Aha -

Those 'camps' are actually going to be work camps.

Oh well - I didn't do this.

Not to mention the back-breaking movements that entails, or the heat, lack of water, etc.

Honestly, I feel like those who work in our food production industries are the most under appreciated and under-paid in the world.

This also has me thinking about the recent BIG recalls in the meat industry. Don't the USDA inspectors fall under the Sec of Health (RFK Jr? AYFKM?) that part has already been cut to bare bones, hence the reasons these food illnesses are finding their way into supply.

Our food security is about to go down the shitter...literally

4. I'd like to begin by saying that the job they do isn't their only worth. Not even their primary worth.

Though telling some people what will hurt their pocketbooks does move them more than acknowledging another's humanity does.

I don't know who will do the farming/production/processing jobs/maintenance jobs (lawn and otherwise).

I do fear that answer though because I suspect even more inhumanity will be someone's game plan.

I am not suggesting that anyone on DU is saying that is their only worth as humans. As people.

And that is just the short term. We could be setting up many countries south of the border to becoming failed states. Mexico is far from stable. Ecuador which had been a beacon of hope is starting to suffer from drug cartel activity like many neighbors. Solutions that sound good in a campaign stump speech may prove to be terrible for the long term interests even if seemingly simple and easy to implement in the near term.

6. This is how we will fulfill our requirement to receive our social security checks (discounted) under tsf.

There is no mystery here. Free labor to large corporations. You don't want to work? Then there is no social security benefits.

7. Trump is a bullshit artist. His Mass Deportation scheme will end up like his promise to Build The Wall.

"A perennial feature of Trumpism is that Trump is constantly launching threats and shiny objects of all sorts. Some of those he’ll follow through on; most he won’t. They all put opponents back on their heels. And that is, of course, the point. Trump lets it all ride and acts on what seems to serve his interests in the moment. Or maybe he doesn’t. That’s also the point. He’s the actor; his opponents are the reactors." - Josh Marshall, TPM
