Honestly, I feel like those who work in our food production industries are the most under appreciated and under-paid in the world.
This also has me thinking about the recent BIG recalls in the meat industry. Don't the USDA inspectors fall under the Sec of Health (RFK Jr? AYFKM?) that part has already been cut to bare bones, hence the reasons these food illnesses are finding their way into supply.

(3,548 posts)And that is just the short term. We could be setting up many countries south of the border to becoming failed states. Mexico is far from stable. Ecuador which had been a beacon of hope is starting to suffer from drug cartel activity like many neighbors. (11,544 posts)"A perennial feature of Trumpism is that Trump is constantly launching threats and shiny objects of all sorts. Some of those hell follow through on; most he wont. They all put opponents back on their heels. And that is, of course, the point. Trump lets it all ride and acts on what seems to serve his interests in the moment. Or maybe he doesnt. Thats also the point. Hes the actor; his opponents are the reactors." - Josh Marshall, TPM
