My Predictions on what Trump will ACTUALLY Do. Since He's All About SHOWBUSINESS...

Trump is all about making a show. And with the aid of a right wing 'news' echo chamber, he's able to get away with it. But what he says, and what he does are two different things.

1. He knows his wealthy friends rely on cheap, undocumented labor, so he's NOT going to send the Army to kick in doors, and deport MILLIONS of undocumented migrants. He'll get Mr. Potato Head Homan to round up a couple of hundred, well known, infamous criminals who happen to be undocumented aliens, and make a big show out of deporting them, with lots of cameras present. He'll claim that he deported 'millions' instead of hundreds, and Fox News will repeat that lie. Then he'll build a couple of hundred miles more fencing; and declare that he's SOLVED the crisis at the border. He'll get a big photo op out of this. Fox 'News' will repeat it on a loop for months; and his cult followers will spend the next four years claiming that Trump solved the border crisis.

2. He's not going to put 25% tariffs on all Canadian and Mexican goods, and 10% tariffs on China (excluding Teslas, of course), for very long. He's as dumb as a bag full of lug nuts, but even he knows that would cause massive inflation. So, he'll sign an executive order calling for 25% tariffs, make a big splash, have a photo op, and then quietly, one by one, start making exceptions to the tariffs, until almost all of them are gone. (The tariffs on China will disappear first, depending on how fast they can grant Ivanka access to the Chinese high fashion market with her brand of crappy, pleather handbags.)

3. He's probably not going to abolish a lot of the federal agencies. But he WILL abolish all of the branches of federal agencies that publish statistics that tell the voters how the country is REALLY doing. Abolish the Bureau of Labor's statistics branch. Abolish the OMB. Abolish the Congressional Budget Office. Abolish the CDC's health and illness statistics. Abolish the FBI's statistics on crime. Then, once these honest reporting agencies are gone, people will only have his word, and the word of the Press (god help us) for how the United States is doing.

We've always know that Trump was all about manufacturing perceptions of success, rather than actual success. This sickening practice reached its zenith when the asshole "told his people to slow the (Covid) testing down" so that the Covid numbers didn't LOOK so bad. That one was particularly bad, because those 'number' represented people actually dying. The only thing that's worse than doing this, is the PRESS and their complicity in it. The United States is the only country in the world that has freedom of the press written into its Constitution; and it's also the only country in the world where the press uses that freedom to be free to NOT do their jobs. They'd rather report what "both sides" are saying, and then leave it to the viewers to 'decide' what the truth is. Contrary to what Humpty-Dumpty Brian Stelter says, that is NOT 'Journalism 101.' That's actually the OPPOSITE of journalism.

Either that or they keep undocumented people in jails to use as prison labor. They've never gotten over slavery being abolished.

It's kinda like those yahoos who file bills for Texas' secession.

Trump says stuff without thinking or something. I have zero business, financial sense. Trump is a business genius compared to me.

So Trump plans to raise the price of just about everything by 25% overnight? Gotta be a real effing moron to do that.

What I think will happen: Trump will declare that just threatening tarriffs already halted fentanyl smuggling. "They respect me so much, that the drug smugglers stopped" So he won't impose those crazy tarriffs.

The people who back him are running it. I don't mean the followers who voted for him. I mean people like Peter Thiel, and the people in the Heritage Foundation who developed Project 2025.

A few things not mentioned in the OP will happen.

The MAGA Congress will push hard for the national abortion ban. They might succeed.

Racists and bigots will terrorize people of color and LBGTQ people in marches and overt physical attacks. People will lose their rights. Wal-Mart has already announced that it is ending its DEI programs and removing all LBGTQ related merchandise from its stores.

How many other corporations and smaller businesses will start doing the same

Here is the Heritage Foundation's position on tariffs. They are for "strategic tariffs" that they say Trump approves and are opposed to Biden's policies on tariffs.

We would never have known about George Floyd's murder if a courageous teen had not recorded it.

Creating fear can occur legally, through demonstrations, like Klan marches in predominantly Black communities, Nazi marches in Jewish communities. Bombs of churches, synagogues, schools, etc. How they are handled, how much investigative effort goes into catching the perpetrators depends on the leanings of local LE.

Don't count in MAGA districts and regions to do much to prevent such actions or catch people who attack others.

First of all, as holder of the highest office in the land shouldn't things be the other way around?
Why the hell are some of us so willing to bend the knee to the very person responsible for advancing OUR will? Not his will.
Over the last so many years I've grown tired of hearing about how much bullshit spineless, mindless fools are ready to accept.
I'm not ready to accept any of that shit.

I'm afraid he will make a big show of "saving" them while actually destroying them.

Millions of his supporters will get hurt, many will die, but many others will say, "This is fine. Our dear leader will soon replace them all with much better programs. Just you wait."

He murdered millions with malfeasance aforethought with covid, caused an economic crisis/ inflation, caused more than one constitutional crisis, tried to extort Zelensky and who knows who else, sold and or leaked our and other countries’ intelligence, stole classified documents, started the destruction of gov agencies, changed tax laws and other related laws which hurt the middle & lower class and benefited wealthy, caged and separated immigrant children from their parents, appointed justices who overturned Roe vs Wade and gave him immunity to derail his own prosecution(s), staged a coup and insurrection to block transition of power, replaced people in the military / pentagon beforehand to help his attempted coup, looted what he could from this country and others and allowed his family etc to do the same, pardoned someone who helped him obstruct justice and so much more.

I’ve tried to include some of the worst things that he did, but I’m sure I’ve left some out as there are so many and I’m tired.

I hope that you are right on some of your predictions.

Otherwise, the cost of those "Trump Bibles" would not have been under $3 each (retail price: $60).

Perhaps.

But there are other factors – such as the glacial-like judicial process that benefited Trump as a private citizen will hobble him as president, and thankfully so.

There’s also possible Democratic control of one or both Houses of Congress in 2027.

And of course, there’s Trump’s own incompetence and stupidity, including that of his Clown Cabinet.

Comprehensively, Trump’s second term will be as much of a failure as his first.

Unfortunately, Trump will still cause a great deal of harm and damage – some of it irreparable.

His tariff plan would be a disaster of epic proportions, but they are counting on the actual implementation to be more for show than substance.

Unfortunately, I think they are over-estimating the influence of the few saner heads that will have any influence. It won't be close to what he's proposing, but there will be a lot of damage done regardless.
