Don't like it? Then win the election. That's the only way to stop these degenerates from behaving that way, by denying them the levers of power. Because they will use power in the most abhorrent ways you can imagine. Norms and precedents and such are meaningless to them, those are things that suckers and losers abide.

commuted the sentences of terrorists, including one group who shot members of congress from the visitors balcony and another who bombed a restaurant in NYC, killing several and injuring many more. We're talking really serious shit there. So, I guess, the answer to your question is yes because if that can be commuted so can the sentence of someone who beat up a cop.
