Fight, fight, fight! What does that even mean? We had an election and we blew it...

If by "fight," we mean stop squabbling amongst each other, get organized and prepare to win some local and state level offices, then great. That's action that I can 100% buy into - because it's actual ACTION. If by "fight," we mean mobilizing boots on the ground protesting for the rights of people whose rights will be infringed upon by Trump, then again great. That is action that I can 100% buy into - because it's actual ACTION. If by "fight," we mean volunteering for various aid organizations whose assistance will be needed when folks start getting rounded up for deportation or start seeing their welfare benefits slashed, then great. That is again action that I can 100% buy into - because it's actual ACTION. However, if by "fight," we are simply referring to the forwarding of internet memes poking fun at Trump or his various cabinet appointees or going online and proclaiming "Trump is not MY President!" or spending the next four years chasing conspiracy theories about how "the election was stolen," well then I can't buy into it. Not at all. The power deficit we now face is daunting. We've lost the White House, the Senate, the House and the Supreme Court. There's a lot of actual work to be done...and that doesn't mean "Winning the internet."

The dems couldn't abandon Al Gore fast enough in 2000 to run to their cushy, ivory Washington towers and start cowing to the anti-democracy repugs. The dems failure and refusal to fight has killed democracy in America
