DEFCON 2 will be if Trump succeeds in taking over the Federal agencies.

DEFCON 1 is when he will start to use them against his enemies list the way Putin operates.

And, oh btw our criminal justice agencies were never apolitical. They were mostly following a white conservative philosophy that favored whites over minorities. But even that wasn’t enough for the MAGAs, who want total control.

Just last year, there was almost a civil war when Yevgeny Prigozhin and his Wagner mercenaries pushed into Russia. If he hadn't stopped when he did (and there was nothing stopping him from pushing deeper at the time), Putin would have ordered the military to fully engage fellow Russians on Russian soil. It could have well become a full-on civil war.
