Jon is stuck in "Can't we all get along?" mode, long after the answer was "NO." And it's not our fault: They don't WANT to get along with us. They are eliminationist. I mean, how many Rockefeller Republicans are around these days? None, because they deliberately snuffed them out, and they want to do the same to us.

We need to FIGHT. But hey, Jon has the fruits of his success, and is very cozy in his now-very obsolete viewpoint.

And when he returned, he was no longer the young and brilliant satirist he had been.

I have no idea why that happened (aside from age — we can’t all remain young forever— but there had to have been some personal things going on) , but his new habit of running down Democrats when Trump and fascism were & are staring us all in the face did not commend itself to me. My attitude is that I wish Jon all the best, but I don’t need to watch his show.

Postscript:
❤️I felt like he helped keep me sane during Dubya’s 8 years. His take on the news was incredulity — and he innovated the idea of fact-checking by digging into TV news’ very own files for multiple clips that utterly refuted whatever claims were being made that day by Rumsfeld and the other liars of that regime (Rachel & others now do this) . Jon very deservedly won a Peabody Award for news presentations — and the big honcho over at CBS was outraged and said so quite publicly, which made me laugh out loud. ❤️

He does both-siderism à la Maher. He's just not as in your face about it. My problem with talking heads like this are they ignore the mf'ing christian repubes that hold so many positions in local, state and federal Govts. They're the f6ckers messing everything up. He should be trying to change voters and their voting patterns. That is the issue. Ignorant voters who constantly vote against their own interests. Blaming Biden for this political over-prosecution to appease hater repubes is quite the bullshit move. No thanks Stewart.
