Had first one today on FB. You are blaming Trump and the voters for a tariff cost before

he has even gotten into office? There was a FB post showing a bill where the business had a line Tariff and the cost added into the bill. This poster was flabbergasted people were blaming Trump and the voters for that price because Trump has not even gotten into office yet. I replied, you blamed Biden for the price of eggs and that had nothing to do with Biden but corporate greed. And so it begins.

businesses into chaos as they attempt to adjust to what's coming, whether it's rushing to import materials or suspending bonuses because of the up-front costs.

corporations have carte blanche now to raise prices, rake in the dough, and blame tariffs. But they wouldn’t do that, would they?

I’m looking at grabbing a few pairs of my favorite running shoes. And maybe even replacing my phone.

I have a sneaking suspicion corporations are going to use tariffs and the threat of tariffs to raise prices dramatically no matter what actually happens. It’s a golden opportunity to rake in fortunes while blaming outside influences. Why would they pass that up?

I wouldn't have done it now if not for the Dump's looming tariffs. My old phone was fine but it was going on 6 years old.

I'm old enough to remember a Republican Party that was all in on free trade.

What a time to be alive, a GOP who doesn't believe in free trade, but wants trade wars instead.

so some companies are buying up excess parts and materials from foreign suppliers ahead of tariffs. Some are planning how to adjust their pricing strategy. China has already started restrictions on some metals exports to the US to screw with our electronics industry. This is in anticipation of Trump's trade policy.

Is to explain that collecting more money in anticipation of the looming tariffs is not a political statement. It is a rational reaction to make sure the business has enough cash to cover an anticipated increase in its cost of goods. It is not politics; it is just good cash flow management.

This is the very reason why tariffs are a root cause of inflation
