Trump and Tariffs

People keep thinking that Trump doesn't understand how tariffs work, and that someone needs to explain it to him otherwise he is going to hurt a lot of middle class and poor people. Here's the thing: what if, just hear me out,
what if he KNOWS how they work and he doesn't care because it won't affect him. Better yet, what if, he is backing tariffs because he knows that goods will be more expensive, esp. coming from China and this will allow all of that (very, very crappy) Trump merch to be more expensive, thus giving him an opportunity to line his own pockets even more.

All of those hats, flags, tacky sneakers, and Bibles that he is hawking have a "Made in China" logo on them. If they are more expensive, he can grift his (very) gullible followers even more.

Just a thought...

Every thing he does is for his own benefit so his personal profits would certainly motivate this action. He hates us and is bound to destroy us from orders of his big boss - Pooty.
