... healthcare in America. We have insurance (healthcare) - and Medicare (which is actually healthcare and not-for-profit except the MA ripoff ruse) - and Medicare is set to be destroyed by SHitler, Inc, and billionaire robber barons.

cannot believe we accept the things we accept in this country. Like the Medicare Advantage scandal, where you can be denied coverage for something like an aortic aneurysm. Or that we accept companies using AI for the sole purpose of figuring out clever ways to deny people coverage.

I don't think any other developed country has this kind of mercenary system where corporations and their stockholders are incentivized to let people die from something fixable or curable.

legislators to disclose their stock and bond holdings and transactions in detail. We don't know how many of our dear politicians are deep into medical and pharma ownership, and thus the profits derived thereof. We also need to un-darken dark money, because those industries are there, too. Until we can get the scorecard that lets us tell the players from one another, don't expect much 'cause the deck is stacked.

Also, too, does anyone really trust the justice system to act in the interests of the sick and dying? Their acting in the interests of the people profiting from the system is a far surer bet.

On. But let’s sit around and wait some more. Like we waited for DOJ to investigate the rapists who are now planning and plotting to kill millions more of us, because the million they killed last time wasn’t enough.
