General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsFOX News should not be treated as a "News" organization.
In my opinion, it is a mistake to do so.
They are a propaganda tool of Trump and Putin and are an enemy of America.
They should be treated as such.
We will never fix the problems of this country so long as FOX is spreading their propaganda and conspiracy theories across our airwaves.
It has nothing to do with "free speech" or "freedom of the press" or the "media".
They are the biggest obstacle to the Democratic Party and the will of the people, in my opinion.

(7,569 posts)viewers, maybe more for some shows and less for other, maybe during the day viewer come and go and it's really 10 Million. But, that ain't many when there are roughly 160 Million who actually vote.
In other words, I think the last election shows us there are more ignorant/hateful rubes here than I expected and that ain't gonna change because FOX disappears.

(54,310 posts)Foxnews is not Donnie's tool. It's backwards.
Donnie is the tool of the propaganda network of which foxnews has been a dominant player for decades.
Some extreme right-wing billionaires created the propaganda network and created the environment in which someone like Donnie was bound to come along eventually.
People give Donnie himself way too much credit.

Also, the claim that the UK placed "restrictions" on FOX is somewhat misleading. Fox voluntarily ended operations in the UK based on a lack of viewership. After it already was no longer available, "OFCOM" -- the UK regulatory agency -- found Fox had violated its "impartiality rules" with respect to certain aspects of its coverage.
