The Rude Pundit this morning on Blusky about Eloon's contribution to the election

Now that we know that Elon spent a quarter billion dollars to get Trump elected, any dive into Why Harris Lost needs to start with "Because the richest man on earth bought the election and our shitty campaign finance laws just let him."— The Rude Pundit (@rudepundit.bsky.social) December 7, 2024 at 8:01 AM

And all the other billionaires who ponied up dollars to get something in return: a cabinet position, or the ability to write legislation as you see fit, or just Donald Trump's ear.

FEC filings offer only a glimpse of the money tech is pouring into Washington as it seeks to influence government

Silicon Valley poured more than $394.1m into the US presidential election this year, according to a Guardian analysis, the bulk of it coming from an enormous donation of about $243m Elon Musk made to Donald Trump’s campaign.

The analysis of new election data from the US Federal Election Commission (FEC) shows the increasingly heavy influence of the tech industry in US elections. Advocates of cryptocurrency were particularly active in this election as they fought to stave off regulation, pumping money into the presidential campaigns and key congressional races.

The donors came from tech’s biggest companies: Google, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and Netflix. Others were powerful venture capitalists who had made billions from investing in tech.

End of story.

Why was he compiling a d-base of certain targeted American Voters which could provide
a tranche of votes that could be brought into the final state vote tallies?

What about the 600,000 bullet ballots where people only voted for Trump and nobody else?

And were the central tabulators connected to Star Link in all of the swing states?

Explain to me how Trump won the Native American vote? Nobody has ever
done more for Native Americans than Biden and Trump has a 40 + year history of
being shits to them.

Trump knew the fix was in when he said he didn’t need anymore votes on 9/4/24 after
which he jacked off a mic stand, gave a simulated blow job to a microphone, talked about
Arnold Palmer’s dick, had 1/2 empty rallies where the people were walking out, and was
flat out bat shit crazy in his speeches.

I am nuttier than a squirrel turd but the election was really fucking dirty. And now we are
just starting to see some of the smoke from the bon fire of our Nation’s vote. Musk & Putin’s
attack on America’s democracy is just as bad as Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor.

Musk needs to be picked and brought in for rigorous questioning.

When was the last time a former president has had so many critics from his own administration, so many whistleblowers, and so many outspoken critics from his own party and still have the gall to run again let alone "win", especially, with his record of failure. I fantasize that some secret group within the current administration is conducting a super secret investigation and will release the results in time to stop this madness. But I'm the same guy that waited for my dad to show up to kick my mom's bully of a boyfriends ass. I waited so long I got to grow up and kick his ass myself. But I digress. Thank you DU family.

response to COVID helped to kill 14 million people worldwide. And after they overturned
Roe v Wade every election that abortion was on the ballot pro choice won except these last

All those donations in kind of unequal air time and propaganda pushing should be tallied up somehow.
For all the traitorous press, but particularly the SCROTUM sanctioned liars.

by covering both Biden and Harris as if they were unfit (for the entire 3 years), never mentioning any positives without coming up with a reason it was bad news, and so much more.

It sometimes feels like the whole thing was organized specifically for this outcome.

What will it take for the average voter to look away from the flashbang. If money is the solution we will lose in perpetuity because the greedy bastards will always have the money. We need a radical new idea. Sure, in two years we might be able to slow the bleeding but the Supremes are the roadblock to our longterm future. Those without the ability to feel shame or guilt nor have fear of constant failure are taking our Country. TFG is the proof.

In my lifetime, there has never BEEN more enthusiastic support for a candidate, nor a more beautifully executed campaign, especially given the fact she had so little time to put it all together. It's not the Democratic Party or candidate at fault. It's the goddamned system that is set up to put the best funded candidate in the seat of the most powerful in the world, which really means the one most willing to be purchased.
