9. Well, it was legal tender when it came out of the treasury printery.

Then it was defaced illegally, rendering it worthless.
Who would pay good money for this?

FBI needs to raid the printery where this overprinting is happening!

HINT: If you really want to do this, print your own $3 bills, on non-treasury paper, make it a different size, and have the words 'Not Legal Tender' overprinted on both sides, in big letters.
FBI might leave you alone then.
