It is more about dropping the pretense of institutions that no longer serve us. It is about forgoing his ego and doing something within his power to help save the nation. There are no consequences personally for Biden, other than what he perceives to be his personal legacy. The Supreme Court has already said he cannot be prosecuted for any act that is an official duty.
