1. Does everyone not know that the fluoride used in water supplies

is industrial waste?

The fluoride used in toothpaste is not a waste product. And unlike fluoridated water, you don't circulate toothpaste fluoride through your body, each and every day. You spit it out.

There's a reason why Japan and most of the EU don't like fluoridated water.

I'm not a Trumper, and I voted for Harris after jumping through a few hoops to do so. I've never voted for a Republican in my voting life, which dates back to 1978.

2. This is not something I have ever heard, & I am reasonably well-informed. Fluoride occurs in nature...

…as a mineral in some water sources. A small amount strengthens teeth and prevents decay. Too much is not good, in which case the municipal water supply should be modified.

There was already a study in recent years of a district where fluoride was removed from the municipal water supply by public demand — the research results were striking, in that the incidence of tooth decay among adolescents was low before fluoride was removed, and rose sharply in the years that followed.

In small quantities, it is considered a very valuable supplement, the way adding iodide to table salt practically wiped out the incidence of goiter in this country, and adding Vitamin D to milk made rickets a disease no one even hears about any more.

Cheers.

4. You can still get fluoride from toothpaste

You don't have to circulate it through your body, every day. Here in Japan, there is no fluoridation, but government dental care services and education for children have greatly reduced the occurrence of childhood cavities.

What you are saying is simply not accurate, and that video will explain exactly why.

Here's the link, so you won't even have to hunt for it: https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=19803695

Here in Japan, they don't fluoridate the water. In most places, tap water is as pure as it can be. The government has made a big push to reduce dental caries through education and providing free dental care to children. There is absolutely no need to circulate industrial waste fluoride through your body, each and every day.

I'm a big supporter of fluoride in drinking water, vaccines, and science in general, and a strong opponent of RFK Jr's antivaxx and other antiscience crusades. This video covers the fluoride issue extremely well. I'm now checking out of some of her other videos and learning things, which is one of my most favorite activities!
