I take some comfort with the upcoming situation with another tenure with Trump

with the English novelist, Charles Dickens. Stay with me . . . .

Think of all the villains illustrated by Dickens: Fagin, Bill Sikes, Uriah Heap, Ralph Nickelby, Thomas Gradgrind, and much more. They were the personification of Evil and the excesses of capitalism. And Dickens never allowed a single one to triumph in the end of the stories, no matter how their maliciousness and callousness appeared to be impenetrable.

Because the protagonists didn't allow adversity to conquer them. They fought back.

We can work together to slow down, if not outright frustrate Trump & Co.'s agenda.

it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair."

Like the Dickens novel, The Trump Restoration won't end well either. Our only hope: La Guillotine.

4. Good post. Our hell will be painful, but temporary. But why put poor Fagin first on your list?

Perhaps you should pick up “Drood” by Dan Simmons. It’s a rippingly creepy good read.
